Beavers is Scouts for 6 to 8 year olds
Beavers make new friends, have fun and learn new skills every week.
They play games, make things, explore their local area and spend as much time outside as they can. Many Beavers go on their first ever sleepover away from home with their Colony, and come back buzzing.
Beavers earn badges for everything from cooking to camping to looking after the planet. Along the way, they learn to try new things, take turns and be kind to each other.
Most Colonies meet for about an hour a week, in the early evening. There are Beaver Colonies in North Shields, Tynemouth, Meadow Well, Percy Main, Wallsend and Howdon. See when and where they meet.
Children can usually join from 5¾ and move up to Cubs at around 8.
