ADC Squirrels is to work in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure that effective operation of Hedgehogs in their District in accordance with the rules as laid down in POR of The Scout Association.
In 2018/2019 Tynemouth Scouts ran a pilot for Early Year Provision for 4-6 year olds, with us opening one of the first “Hedgehog” sections.
In August 2020 The Board of Trustees approved the launch of Hedgehogs, but with a delayed start. We at Tynemouth Scouts are delighted that we were chosen as one of the Districts to run an extend pilot for the Early Year Provision.
Jason Vasey
Jason is currently in his third term as an nominated member of the District Executive Committee. The District Executive Committee plays a vital role in the running of a Scout District. Executive Committees make decisions and carry out administrative tasks to ensure that the best quality Scouting can be delivered to young people in the District. The Executive Committee exists to support the District Commissioner in meeting the responsibilities of their appointment. Members of the Executive Committee must act collectively as charity trustees of the Scout District, and in the best interests of its members. As a nominated member Jason was nominated by the District Commissioner in partnership with the District Chair and approved at the Annual General Meeting.
