Scarecrows In The Square

Tynemouth Scouts present Scarecrows In The Square!

A fun filled family event, presented by the young people of Tynemouth Scouts.

Hedgehogs, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Network sections will present their own made Scarecrows to be judged and placed for a chance to win a pick of three amazing prizes!

Each group will also be presenting Scouting in their own way offering fun, interactive activities for all to get involved in!

Live music, face painting, bouncy castles, raffles, tombolas and so much more will also be available throughout the day!

Food and Drink will also be available to purchase!

Scouts 5-a-side Competition

The Parks Leisure Centre, North Shields, 11.00 – 13.30

 

What is it?

After another resounding, “Yes please” from last year’s participants – a 5-a-side football tournament for Scouts.

 

Who is it for?

Anyone of Scout age on the 22nd September 2018 who is a member of a Tynemouth Group.

 

Where is it?

The Parks Leisure Centre, North Shields on the outdoor pitches.

 

What will it be like?

Everyone who turns up will get a game.  Every team will get to play more than one game.  There will be a chance to have a kick about while the other games are on.  There will be trophies for

 

  • Winners
  • Runners-up
  • Scout of the tournament
  • Most sporting team

 

How shall I dress?

You’ll need trainers rather than boots.  Anyone who is playing in goal will be better off covering their knees.  Shin pads are always a good idea – although there will be firm but fair refereeing.  And there will be absolutely no advantage to those who turn up in Newcastle, Hibernian or Blyth Spartans shirts.  (Probably)
